Grasshopper 草芘 is one of Hong Kong's most beloved Cantopop groups, formed in the mid-1980s by the trio 苏志威, 蔡一智, and 蔡一杰. Close associates of the late Anita Mui and fixtures of the golden era of Hong Kong pop, Grasshopper built a loyal following across Hong Kong, Taiwan, and the Chinese diaspora with their energetic performances and distinctive vocal harmonies. Their catalogue spans Cantopop, dance-pop, and heartfelt ballads across more than three decades.
